We are really proud of our recent collaboration with Innova Learning, an inspiring organisation established by nuclear graduates to give younger students the opportunity to immerse themselves in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). By engaging with companies like us, Innova Learning aims to make the STEM industry more accessible to young people.
What is Innova Learning?
Through donations and sponsorships, Innova Learning has successfully distributed a number of ‘Innovaboxes’ to ‘hard to reach’ schools. Each cutting edge box contains crafts, experimental materials and information packs that relate to educational themes, aiming to provide engaging educational STEM activities for a full classroom of 9-11 year-olds. They are also made from planet-friendly biodegradable materials which, coupled with supporting the next generation of STEM professionals, helps us promote social and environmental sustainability, which is at the heart of everything we do.
After a discussion with Lauren at Innova Learning, we agreed to fund two boxes, one of which will go to Gosforth C of E Primary School and the other to a hard to reach Cumbrian school that Innova Learning will identify.
